Artists Book

atmend

How does breathing shape rhythm, structure, and movement – in the body, landscapes, and the act of reading and seeing?

Created in collaboration, the book is a shared exploration of breathing spaces – between pages, thoughts, landscapes, and bodies.

atmend unfolds through shifting formats, merging standard binding with Japanese stab binding – each turn of the page, an act of inhaling and exhaling.

The page as a threshold – some must be cut open to be read.

The book itself becomes a landscape – layered, fragmented, porous –mirroring the themes it explores.

For those who ask

Created together with Jana Mitnacht, 112 pages, slipcase, alternating between standard pages and Japanese stab binding, edition of 50, signed and numbered (2022).
